Typography Made from Bones
In 2007 Francois Roberts created a series of work called Stop the Violence. He needed human bones to create his work, and he needed a lot of them.
So he did what anyone needing a lot of human bones might do: asked a company that specializes in disarticulated human skeletons to send him some. A week later he had a container of 206 human bones and was ready to create an alphabet.
In an interview with Salon, Roberts says that each letter took about a day to create “because often after a few hours I wouldn’t be satisfied with the progress of the letter, and I would start from scratch.”
what was his beef with bones, I wonder..
Super relevant to my interests.
oohhh, i love it
